The Ancient Greeks
After a long while plaing with bronze age, we had a game with Greeks defending their homeland:
The zvezda figures are great
But see those old Atlantic with the transfers on their shields!
The mail armour hoplites
Transfers are 15mm ideal for these shields
The deployment
The attack!

Nubian uprising
The Queen of the Lower Nile has decided it's time for more autonomy.
Queen Amanishaketto on her chariot
kushite infantry
Nubian bowmen
Negro bowmen (see some 25mm minifigs at same size than 1/72 Hat)
Hat Nubians
Wawat bowmen
Wawat infantry
But egyptians will not allow the nubians go very far
The nubian advance in a rush mob
There was an epic defence of the fort rejecting the egyptian forces once and again!
The tribe skirmishers poured arrows and arrows on the egyptian forces
Not spanish republican, just happened to be the flags on our wargame Club Dragon
The egyptian chariots manouvre
The nubians and lybian mercanaries
Queen's pet
Riding to the battle she's wounded
The Caesar nubians push away the egyptian invaders...
A new time is arising in Egypt

Mycenaean heavy infantry
Mars new set is a bit dissapointing
Odd unnatural positions, figures full of flash, spears are like a thick stick, helemet horns missing...
But once you have spent a good while cleaning converting and preparing the figures the result is not too bad
And with some paint they can be used as achean characters

Figures are a bit chunky and fat but i like them...

Some more bronze age warriors from the south west of Spain.
The Stellas depict chariots and warrior with long horned helmets.
There are no trace of armour, so leather bands are reasonable for heavy infantry
swords and spears are clearly depicted, but axes were rather common as well.
Note the shield design almost identical in many Stellas:
Figures are conversions from Atlantic "Troyan" and Italeri romans.
